Oregano is one of the most potent and powerful essential oils and has been used for centuries in traditional health practices for its cleansing and immune-boosting properties. The primary chemical components of Oregano are carvacol and thymol, both in the phenols group, which possess cleansing and antioxidant properties. Alternatively, you can make yourself a foot bath or sock solution. For the foot bath, add two drops of oil to a basin of hot water and soak your feet for 15-20 minutes. For the sock solution, place your socks in the footbath and wear the soaked socks for half an hour. Also, consider adding a drop a piece to each shoe to eliminate contact fungus.
Relieve canker sores with oregano by diluting and dabbing over the sores up to three times daily until they’re eliminated.
Strengthen the immune system, through various oregano applications. To maintain optimal immune function, dilute throughout the home or regularly take internally with your meals. Also consider a topical application – dilute and massage into the body’s reflex points. Lastly, try the steam method – steam two drops of the oil in a pan of boiling water. Remove the boiling water from the stove and, after pouring into a separate bowl, put a towel over your head and the bowl. Inhale deeply for several minutes.
